Updating the stop time does not always save

Was browsing the forum and didn’t find anyone having the same issue. It’s been like that for at least months if not years. It goes like this:

  1. I track some time, e.g. this morning I tracked a task from 08:00 to 09:18
  2. I stop the timer
  3. I edit the stop time from 09:18 to 09:15, hit enter
  4. I refresh the page
  5. It’s 9:18 again

So for the past year or so after every single edit I hit F5 to make sure it actually changed. Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn’t. I don’t know how to reproduce this accurately. I always hit enter, so it can’t be that the request to the backend hasn’t finished yet. Because sometimes I forget to hit F5 like yesterday. And this morning it said “overlapping“ on yesterdays tasks, which I adjusted yesterday (but probably forgot to F5 double check it).

Am I the only one? It’s driving me crazy and is the single most annoying thing about toggl and the only friction I have on a day to day basis (except for that Timer is showing no time entries for the last 90 days incident, but that was quickly fixed).

Hi there,

Thank you sharing so much helpful detail on the issue!

Could you let us know which browser you are using and the browser version? And do you normally edit the stop time of the time entry on calendar view, list view or in the detailed report?

Thanks for the reply, I’m using Firefox 147.0.3 (64-bit) and I exclusively use the Timer page List view.

Let me DM you about this
