When selecting a job from the timer it says job not created but it does show up in the project list

We create our projects with a project number and a client number. for one specific client number we go to the timer and try to select the project number and that specific client but it says the project has not been created.

But if we go to the project list the project has been created and we can hit the play icon and start our time from the project list.

This only happens with a specific client and it is something new that started up recently. we currently have over 100 projects for this specific client and of the 4 people in our group this has been happening to 3 of us.

It sounds like there’s a display or sync issue with how that specific project is appearing in the timer, even though it exists in your project list. Since you can successfully start tracking time from the project list itself, that’s a good workaround to use in the meantime.

A few things that might help:

First, try refreshing your browser or closing and reopening the Toggl Track application to see if the project appears in the timer selection after a fresh load.

If you’re using the desktop or mobile app, try logging out completely and logging back in, as this can sometimes resolve sync issues between your account and the app’s local data.

Since this is affecting 3 out of 4 people in your group on the same client (which has over 100 projects), there might be something specific about how that client’s projects are configured. You might want to check if there’s anything unusual about how that particular client or its projects were set up compared to your other clients.

In the meantime, starting your timers from the project list view is a reliable way to track time on these projects until the timer selection catches up.
