Timer keeps running on the macOS app, after stopping it on iOS

After stopping the timer on iOS, when my MacBook is locked, sometimes (happened several times but not every time) the macOS app keeps running the timer.

Checking both the iOS and the web apps, timer is not running.

Heya Antonio! When this happens, try choosing the refresh option in the Mac app to see if that stops the timer on its own.

Sorry, Support, but what do you mean exactly by “choosing the refresh option”?

I just got back to my workstation and it’s happening now. I’m looking at my iOS app and there’s no timer running and the macOS app is asking me this:

One thing that just happened, I opened the timer running and opened the settings to see if I could find that “refresh option”, found nothing of course, but when I closed the settings dialog (by clicking on the red close button in the window) the timer stopped and the idle time notification dialog also closed.

So it seems that the macOS app is not polling the server to update the timer state unless some types of events occurs, like closing the settings panel.

Hi Antonio! It will be the “Sync” option in the menubar; just choose Account>Sync or use the key command CMND+R.
