This is not something that you have to do, but those are things that might be useful:
- Removing Google Calendar events that I know I won’t attend
- Using Calendar view directly: Skip Tasks view, and start adding tasks directly in the Calendar view, sometimes by adding a time block first and then creating my task
- Adding projects to tasks will help you color-code your calendar if you assign different colours to projects
- In Tasks page, type
A
to start adding a task- then simply use
enter
to create the task in-line - to open the modal, use
tab
- use
command + enter
to create a task, wherever the cursor is
- then simply use
- If you want to create a time block for an existing task, you can drag it to the calendar or create the time block and start typing the name of the task; auto-complete should suggest all viable options based on what you have typed
- Being ok with not being perfect!!
- If you look at my Monday in the screenshot above, it has holes and not many time blocks added - it happens! Don’t give up if you didn’t plan a day perfectly, or you had a two day slump of not planning - it is fine, just go after it again!
It’s like trying to eat healthy - if you try to do it and then that one weekend comes, it’s all good, just go back at it on Monday and it’s all perfectly fine!
